The 2012 Sunset Tiki 5k & 1k Family Fun Run will be hosted from the Ventura Promenade late in the evening just before sunset. The course will be partially lit by tiki torches along the way.

T-Shirts:
Competitors can elect to register for the 5k and receive an organic cotton t-shirt. T-shirts are limited to the first 200 entrants.
Awards:
Age group and overall winners will receive Pineapples after the race for the 5k. Each child in the 1k fun run will receive a participant award. There will also be a “Most Hawaiian” award for Men and Women.
Post-race Party:
The post race Hawaiian themed party will be located near the finish line and Ventura Promenade.
Packet Pick-up:
Participants can pick up their race numbers and t-shirt from 5:30-7:00pm at Promenade Park.

Course Information:
The Sunset Tiki 5k course begins near Surfer’s Point at the Ventura Promenade Park. It is a lollipop course that moves down the oceanfront bike path to San Buenaventura State Beach. Then, runners will loop around the state beach picnic area and run back along the bike path to the finish line in Promenade Park. The 1k course is an out and back course on the oceanfront bike path with a turnaround point near the Ventura Pier. CLICK HERE FOR PARK LOCATION

Directions from 101 N:
From Hwy. 101, take the Ventura Ave. exit (70A). Turn right onto E. Thompson Blvd.
Take Thompson Blvd. .2 miles and turn right onto Figueroa St. After crossing the Amtrak tracks, pass E. Harbor Blvd. The Fairgounds parking lot is on your right, while the start/finish area will be oceanfront to the left.
Directions from 101 S:
From Hwy. 101, take the California St. exit, and turn left onto California St.
Take Thompson Blvd. .2 miles and turn right onto Figueroa St. After crossing the Amtrak tracks, turn right onto E. Harbor Blvd. Travel approximately a half mile and take a left on Figueroa. The Fairgounds parking lot is on your right, while the start/finish area will be oceanfront to the left.
Parking:
Parking can be found in the Ventura Fairgrounds parking lot less than a block away from the start/finish line. If there is an attendant on duty, parking is $5. There are also several free lot options in the area, but parking in those lots is limited.
